The Image Speaks by Jeremy Addington

One of the highlights of the 2023 DTUC reunion was Jeremy Addington’s photography exhibition of DTUC employees (often with their families) at the time of the institution’s closure in 1984. Included below each photo was a statement in response to DTUC’s abrupt termination by the BC government. In the photos, everyone is so young! But their commentary on the loss of DTUC remains as powerful and poignant as ever.

Now Jeremy has made the exhibit available as a book, The Image Speaks. Each page presents a black and white photograph, reproduced with exquisite care, with a statement.
